Hemis Maiden appears at the Going Home (Niman) ceremony in late summer. He is originally from Jemez Pueblo, where he is an important figure in bringing rain prior to harvest. He is the Kachina who brings the mature corn to the people ensuring a good harvest. Hand carved and painted by Roger and Grace Pino of the Navajo Tribe. Approximately 19 inches tall.
