ZUNI RAIN PRIEST
The Zuni Rain Priest is said to have power over the rain making him a very important Kachina. His purpose is to accompany the Shalako during the rain dance. This is a "borrowed" Kachina, meaning that the spirit being has origins from the Zuni, the Hopi's nearest pueblo neighbors. He is a symbol of longevity. His long eye represents a long life.
